Bufala Negra

If you grew up in an Italian-American home like I did, you’ll find it easy to round up these ingredients for this sweet and herbal cocktail.  It brings back all of the memories of my favorite things: My uncle’s basil garden and my grandmother’s homemade balsamic vinaigrette! 🙂

Bufala Negra

3 basil leaves
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 oz Agave or Simple Syrup
1 1/2 ounces bourbon
1 1/2 ounces ginger ale

Muddle basil leaves then pour the remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker.  Due to the carbonation, I would recommend just stirring this drink and double straining to avoid traces of basil chunks.  Salute!
