Vesper

The Vesper –  Made famous by James Bond in 1953’s Casino Royale, this martini is served straight up; shaken, not stirred.  It’s a dry martini that uses the French aperitif wine, Lillet, as opposed to vermouth.  Lillet is made from citrus liqueurs and quinine, so just as the G&T is a perfect combination, I think you’ll find this recipe delightful as well!

5 oz Citadelle gin (or any London Dry)
1 oz Lillet

Vesper1

Vesper2

Shake with ice and serve with a lemon twist or an olive or two
